Prof. Pere Ros (E)
Pere Ros was born in Barcelona. His musical studies lead him to Montserrat, Barcelona and Basel. After spending some time in Switzerland and Germany where he worked as a lecturer (Musikhochschule Karlsruhe, Hamburger Konervatorium), he is now holding a professorate at Real Conservatorio Superior de Música in Madrid.
He is a member of the viol quintet “Banchetto musicale” and accompanist of well-known musicians, his recordings as a soloist and as a member of the Banchetto musicale prove his activity in this context (Melisma, Wiesbaden and Arsis, Spain). Recently, the CD “Like the Sweet Sound” including works of Morley, Ferrabosco and Hume was published, which was recorded in collaboration with recorder player Elvira Pancorbo.
Pere Ros became famous by performing in Europe (music festivals in Barcelona, Utrecht and Granada) and in Uruguay, by leading summer classes in Spain and other countries, by musicological publications and also as a jury member within the Bach-Abel-Wettbewerb in Köthen/Anhalt.
